Michelle Pfeiffer took to Instagram on Sunday to share a sweet Valentine's Day post with her husband, David E. Kelley. The couple, who have been married for 31 years, enjoyed a romantic weekend together.
Michelle Pfeiffer took to Instagram on Sunday to share a glimpse of her Valentine's Day weekend with her 3.4 million followers. The 66-year-old actress celebrated the holiday with her longtime love, husband David E. Kelley, 68. In the photo, the timeless blonde beauty and David are sporting matching dark sunglasses, with a picturesque body of water as the backdrop. Pfeiffer kept her caption simple and sweet, writing, 'Valentine's Weekend,' followed by a heart emoticon.
Both husband and wife displayed radiant, sun-kissed skin, and Pfeiffer styled her blonde locks back, showcasing delicate hoop earrings. The couple marked their 31st wedding anniversary on November 13. Their love story began in 1993 when Pfeiffer's best friend set them up on a blind date. During an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon in 2022, Michelle shared her initial nervousness about the meeting. 'I was kind of nervous. I'd had a couple of bad blind dates and I had sworn off them,' she admitted. 'My best friend said, 'Please, just this last time, meet this guy, David Kelley,' and I said, 'Okay,'' she recalled. To ease the tension, Pfeiffer suggested a bowling party, where they all met for dinner beforehand, which she jokingly acknowledged as the potentially awkward part. She described how David sat across from her sister, DeDee Pfeiffer, while she sat across from his best friend. 'He and my sister were just chatting it up because she's very charming and really good socially. I'm not so good. And he's a little bit shy — we're both a bit shy,' she explained. Pfeiffer even confessed that she initially thought David would be a better match for her sister, remarking, 'I turned to my best friend and said, 'I think I should set DeDee up with him. They seem to be really hitting it off.'' Pfeiffer had already started the adoption process when she met Kelley, and they ended up raising her adopted daughter, Claudia Rose, together. The couple went on to welcome a son named John Henry, 30, in 1994. Pfeiffer affectionately named her fragrance range, Henry Rose, after her children.
